How accurate is this estimator?
It reflects the ranges we actually quote, but it cannot see your pipe. For cleaning and inspection work it is usually close. For sewer repair and replacement, treat it as an order-of-magnitude guide only — depth, run length and surface restoration can move a real quote substantially, and none of those are knowable without a camera inspection and a locate.
Why does after-hours cost more?
Because staffing a genuine 24/7 dispatch has a real cost. What matters is that you are told the premium on the phone before a truck leaves, rather than discovering it on the invoice. If your problem can safely wait until morning, we will say so and book you at standard rates.
Why is the same job more expensive in Center City than in Delaware County?
Excavation and access. Center City rowhouses mean tight basement access, street-opening permits and brick-sidewalk restoration, and parts of the Main Line and Chester County sit on Wissahickon schist that is slow to trench. Cleaning and inspection work barely differs by area; anything requiring a trench differs a lot.
Does a camera inspection cost extra on top of a repair?
Not with us — our inspection fee is credited toward any repair we go on to perform. You keep the video either way, including if you take it to another contractor for a competing bid.
